I've got this mag, it's a Bendix Scintilla DLN-7. There is an AN number on it (AN9511A). Drawing number 10-27600-2. Any idea what engine this sucker was used on? I'm guessing one of four on a R-4360? It's a L/R low tension mag for those that don't know p/n's. Pictures to follow if someone needs them. |

Looks like that is actually a MN7D is used on the Continentals. I have one of those too (on e-bay right now). But this one is a Big Boy mag... Pics for reference. It's low tension, built in 1948 from what I can tell. I think it's for a multi-bank radial in multiples of 7, maybe a later 2800 or a 4360. http://gallery.me.com/spsam#100027 |
