How do I recover a Hurricane Spade Grip??

I have a spade grip marked AH2040 that's lost most of it's covering. Does anyone now where I can have it recovered like the original or where I can get the material to do the recovering?

Spiral wrapped or fitted and stitched? Either way take it to someone who does custom leather work (like someone who does high end leather chairs and sofas) or a really good custom auto interior guy who specializes in classic restoration work on classics.
