Mods I have no idea if this should be here or not I just thought you would find it interesting.

I suppose off-topic might be somewhat more appropriate if one of the other mods wants to move it. I don't have a problem with it since we do have perennial problems with these things here.

I've been involved with the internet since about 1988 ( I helped set up part of the military net here in Canada) and I can tell you the original users were a little more polite.

In Canada here the CBC (One of the national broadcasters) is now actually considering that people use real email address (Gasp! The horrors! ) to log in. The email addresses would not be displayed but apparently it will discourage the colourful (sorry had to use the Canadian/British spelling) comments.
