My name is John and I am looking for info on two warbirds that flew in the Pacific. They are 'My Girl" and "Little Girl". I am trying to find out the history behind the two aircraft and the pilots that flew them. I am interested in perhaps painting a replica P51 in honor of one of them. Pictures would be a great help. Thanks.

I found a photo of "My Girl" on Iwo Jima on Wikipedia; I don't know if you have this one already.

Apologies for the huge size; that's what it linked to. I hope you wanted it big!

I do ... but thanks. This is the only reference I've been able to find on this bird. A friend tells me Jack Cooke frequents this sight and is the go to guy about the Pacific. Jack if you are reading this please email me at kwmacs@earthlink.net. Thanks.

The other "go-to-guy" on Iwo Mustangs would be Mark Stevens of www.7thfighter.com. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some information for you.

Thanks for the info. I've narrowed my search to aircraft and pictures from the 39th FS, 35th FG, 5th AAF. Any help is greatly appreciated. J.
