I'm currently drafting some fresh CAD drawings of the CAC Wackett, Wirraway, Boomerang and Ceres aircraft, and I'm looking for anyone with experience of these aircraft (or original source data) who would be interested in reviewing and checking my work.

In researching 3-view drawings for these aircraft, I've discovered that most of the currently available drawings have serious flaws, so I'm looking for some help to correct this situation.

I would send a PDF file of the latest drafts to review, and the reviewer would print the file and send back comments, corrections or additions by email.

I understand I may be missing some experts who are not on e-mail, but I'm already corresponding by snail-mail with a few of these folks. I'm also posting this request on some other vintage aviation / warbird forums.

Send me a PM if you're interested in helping.

Regards,
Derek

Hello Derek,

I'm more than happy to assist as per your earlier versions, although I do now realise I am overdue for giving you the marked up Scarab drawing with dimensions, if you still need those I will get them done next weekend.

regards

Mark Pilkington

MightyAuster and Mark, thanks for the assistance.

Mark, no hurry on the Scarab measurements, yes I would still like them but there's no rush.

Making some progress on my Wirraway drawings. If you're interested you can see the latest result at the top of my CA-1 Wirraway page. The CA-1 profile shown there (not quite 100% finished yet) is part of a full 4-view drawing of the CA-1. More soon.

Just added another update to my Wirraway technical information page. I've found some archival info about the three different types of guns used on Wirraways, and added this to the "Armament" section.

Enjoy!

OK, a big update this time... I just added 3 new drawings showing the details of the CA-1 Wirraway, the first model which went into production (40 built). I'm fairly certain that this is the first time drawings of the CA-1 as it came out of the factory have been drafted. There are some CA-1 drawings circulating, but they show modifications added later in life.

Anyway, if you are a sufferer of "Wirrawayitis" (thanks Mark P for the expression) then you should get a little relief from these...
