From what I could find, it appears that the tail stripe color, etc., is particular to the AFRC's 452nd Air Mobility Wing C-17s at March ARB. |

That is part of the March Air Reserve Base logo. Each base's C-17s has their own stripe colors and logo. Charleston has a Palmetto, Altus has an arrow, McGuire has a P-38 silhouette, etc. |

What makes you think it's too large? Looks correct to me, at least in that quality of photograph. |

The red ball should not be touching the inner edge of the star. The red ball is to be tangent to that line. |
