 Post subject: Mustang part to ID....

This part comes from a 38FS/55FG crashsite in Luxembourg. It seems 4 very thin cables (1mm in diameter) were attached to it. Could it be from the (Eastman Kodak) gunsight?
First I thought of some trim device but the P-51D/K manual shows other ones...

It is off the side of the Gyro Gun Sight . where the range dial is
