Warbird Information Exchange

A friend of mine wants to replace the dzus panel fasteners on her Fouga aircraft. She has the fasteners but not sure how to remove the old ones and install the new ones. Do you need some sort of special tool for this?

The tricky part is removing the old grommets without damaging the sheet metal with a pair of end pliers. After that, you’ll need a set of dies to install the new grommets and studs.
