Post subject:  R-3350 Starter Motor

Anyone have the specs on the starter motor for the 3350? Specifically, I'm looking for power output figures.

Thanks

If amps are listed, then you take volts times amps will give you the watts.
And there are 746 watts to a hp. That should get you close.
The actual HP used or extracted from the starter would depend on the gear ratio that is used to rotate the crank assembly, and all the resistance of the engine. That figure will be much less than what the starter is capable of putting out. If you had actual amp readings during the cranking process as well as voltage at the starter meaning after wire losses to it, the cranking power can be calculated. As well as torque if you have an rpm figure.
