Post subject:  Looking For Aluminum Extrusion Source

Hello,
Looking for a source of aluminum extrusions in the US. I have alcoa die numbers (vintage and modern) but so far I have not been able to find a source for my project. Does anyone know who the restoration shops in southern california use (Fighter Rebuilders, Aero Traider, Yanks ect)? Thanks, you can use WIX, PM or email to david@P-35.com to contact me.

When you find out. Can you pass on the information. The N3N has alot of it. I will ask the group on our end, maybe someone already has a source.

I've bought from these guys before when I was heavy into structural repairs on North American Aviation airplanes, and they had every thing that I needed:

Still use them for Sabreliners.

Unless it's a commonly available stock size, you may have to get something larger and mill it down to your specs.

Transtar will make any extrusion you need provided you have the extrusion number. We had some bulb angle made about 20 years ago for about $1200 for set up, then about $10 per foot. Transtar was called Tierney Metals then. They produce all the aircraft extrusion in the US.
