It's not my intention to keep secrets. Just been busy and can't really say much about what happened that everyone doesn't already know. It will get fixed and all I can say to all of you is Ray Anderson and all of Anderson Aeromotive are doing everything they possibly can to turn this back around for us as quick as they can. They will get it fixed and get it right, that's a promise! We'll make AirSho!!

Thanks Brad for letting me know about this thread and answering to the speculation. No one here is upset.

By the way, there is a thread that was already started for "FIFI"?? Why don't we try to keep that one going, instead of starting a bunch of new ones??

Dave

Driver's license: a privilege, not a right.

Getting behind the scenes info via WIX: a privilege, not a right.

I agree with Dave, unless there is a need for a specific sub-thread, it would make sense to maintain the FIFI conversation here. Mod's -- will you consider merging the more recent threads regarding her return to the skies with this core thread?

Well contrary to popular belief the WIX hangar isn't the official site of the CAF. As this was unfolding I went to the CAF's actual website and wouldn't you know they had updates dated 8-7, 8-9, and 8-14. WIX is a great place but I really don't see how anybody with FIFI or the CAF are obligated to post updates on here. Keep up the great work with FIFI I would much rather see your valuable time spent working on her than posting on this message board. That being said I eagerly await any updates you can post here. Oshkosh is the highlight of my summer and next year seeing FIFI there will make it the best Oshkosh ever for me.

I've spent more time that I'm going to admit trying to find out where the name FiFi came from, but so far never even came close. Anyone care to clue me in?

It's the name of Victor Agather's wife. He was one of the people primarily responsible for the CAF in obtaining and recovering the B-29 from China Lake back in the early 70's.

Gorgeous shot Dave. Thanks for posting that one. It shows off Fifi's lines nicely.

I hope Anderson will have everything ironed out soon.

Got a call today about "The Lady in The Lake" a B-29 in Alaska near Fairbanks at an Air Force base. Tell me what you can or know about this plane. I have seen the Google stuff and see it is partcially submerged in fresh water.

Is any of it salvagable?
Does it belong to the Air Force?
Dave
