HELP.....................I am covering a Grumman Albetross aileron and cannot find any of the mechanical fastners that hold the fabric to the ribs. They come in a continuous roll much like Martin clips but apparently Grumman had their own way of doing things. The Martin clips are for 3" spacing(ie. slow planes) and the Grummans are one inch spacing. The manufacturer for the Martin clips will not even consider re-tooling to make the Grumman clips.(I would think he has made all the Martin clips he could ever sell in my lifetime in about five minutes.)
Short of manufacturing my own (don't think I have the skills required) does anyone have any ideas. Yes I know we could stitch it, if the local FSDO would buy off on that, but would rather go back "factory".

What's the spacing on DC-6/7 elevator/rudder ribs?

Hi Wayne,
Do you have a P/N for the clips?
