I don't know if this is the right fourm or not, but what the heck. I am a member of the Hickory Aviation Museum and I heard there were F105's at Lackland that were scheduled for distruction. Has any one heard anything on this? We have a 105B and would love to have a D. I just saw photo's of 105's used for security training posted, maybe these are the birds. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks Perry

I checked on this a couple of weeks ago when it was on another forum and the "offical" line is that they are only being "demilled' at this time. The interiors have been pretty well been picked over, no sticks and no seats.

FYI: At least one of the F-105's from Lackland has been saved...It is on display (outside) at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, TX
