I have what appears to be a tailwheel that is solid rubber. The size is 8x3.5. On the wheel rim is the following information:

D.A.C. Spec.3670568 Assembly # C-1084 - B
(presumably Douglas Aircraft)
U.S. Rubber Co. Detroit Mich.

The rubber is smooth contour with a large radius at the edge.

Can anyone help ID this. (I haven't had much success posting photos here). Perhaps an SBD tailwheel?

Thanks
Grant

I have since discovered it is a Bumper Wheel. Probably from a '50's vintage Douglas Carrier based aircraft. Still don't know what aircraft yet.

If you have pictures I will see if it is the same as the ones I have. They are two different sizes and are both bumper wheels? (I think)
