Ken,
I received this information from, Larry Rengstorf, the former Crew Chief on Lloyd Hamilton's Sea Furies; Baby Gorilla and Furias.
Tell Ken- I SAID - to try calling Craig Charleston in England - 011-44-1206273,325. He had a Fury and may be able to find them in England, as Lloyd did years ago!!

Thanks, I'll keep looking for them.
Going to Sanders today to check on the progress, the wing center section is complete and in paint. They are full time now on the fuselage reconstruction, I'm anxious to see what's happening. I'll post some photos later.

They are called 'Amal Fasteners'.
They are pretty much unobtainable in the UK.
They come in different lengths, and are each composed of 5 or 6 parts.
You may need a machine shop........

Starting to look that way Bruce, at least I know what they're called now
Thanks,

We had some of these made a few years ago for our Tempest V project. I think if you contact Toni Bianchi at Personal Plane Services in the UK, he may be able to find out who made them for us.

I have a few sources that are having a look for these but here is a drawing I found. I know it isn't what you need but it is fairly clear. Easy to see why CamLocs come to mind but they aren't right.
Someone has these somewhere.

Agreed! Thanks for the picture, that's the little bugger.

Hey Ken,
Still need these AMAL fasteners. My Australian mates have been tearing through parts and records, now the Navy is in on it too. They are asking: do you have a part No.? Do you know where the fastener is used, ie which panel exactly.
I sent a PM to you but it just sits in my out box. I don't know what's wrong with that.

Hi Dave-
My apologies for the belated response. I do see your PM's now, I'm not in the habit of lookiing for them.. The Amal fasteners in question are for the louvered panel which goes under the engine just forward of the wing spar. I have attached a photo of the panel and a couple of the fasteners. They are different from the ones used in every other location on the Sea Fury in that they are longer. I would need 17 of them and I'd be willing to trade the shorter ones.
It's nice to be looking for the smaller bits now and not so much the big pieces but they are all important.
