Just a couple quick Yale questions...

Fri Sep 18, 2009 7:00 pm

I'm just curious if anyone can help me out with a couple little things.

I will be bringing most of a Yale home in the very near future and was wondering if Yales shared the same wheel assembly as the Harvard/T-6/SNJ. I'm pretty sure they do, but I wanted to make sure.
(I'm not referring to the entire leg, since the gear doesn't retract on a Yale, :P just the lower fork/spindle)

The reason I'm asking is that one of the original tires is missing on the plane, has been subsituted with a tractor tire, and the wheel retaining nut is missing. I don't want to have the tire slipping off the fork on the way home, so if a Harvard/T-6/SNJ nut will fit, I can use it somehow to hold the other tire on.

My second question is whether the Yale and Harvard/T-6/SNJ share the same horizontal stablilzers/elevators (other than the fact that the elevator trim tabs on the Yale are non-adjustable in flight...I think... :?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Shane

Thanks Eric! I had thought so, but wasn't 100% sure.
