polishing/cleaning aircraft aluminum

Sun Aug 17, 2014 3:40 pm

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how and some tips on polish/cleaning aircraft aluminum? I want to clean some parts up, but I do NOT want that mirror shine finish. I just want to rid the dirt and smudges and make the surface smoother.

Someone totally oblivious on all the in's and outs of working aircraft aluminum,
Nate

Start with the white or gray scotchbrite, don't just jump right in with the brown stuff.

Won't be cheap,, but Acid Etch will clean them up good, just be sure to rinse well.
