I ran across this Hispano- Suiza engine at the Pate Swap Meet in FtWorth TX, this weekend. It had been outdoors for a LONG time. It had corrosion, the cylinders were filled with dirt, and the exhaust pipes were rotted out from all of the sand in them. But, it was still an awesome sight to see. It had several 1918 casting dates on it. The guy was asking $2,000 for it. He ended up selling it to someone else. I had called the guy repeatedly about it to buy it, but he was absent for two days at the swap meet. Some one else beat me to it.

The guy that sold this engine said that it was going to Houston! Any idea as to who bought the engine? I'm curious as to what became of it. I wanted it to use as a static display. I assumed that is all it was good for considering the corrosion.
