Been working on this for a week or so. Disassembled, painted, detailed and going back together. Will have lipstick red leather seat pad and aluminum legs. (reminds me of a girl I knew once, different topic)
New lower eject handle
Decided to use the back pack chute bag for cushion. I filled it with 4" foam and then gator wrestled it closed. Those chute riggers must really know their craft.
Next the legs with a swivel mount for the seat, the a test flight at the bar.

Will post more when finished. Then there are to be three more.

Looks pretty neat! About 25 years ago there was a pretty cool restaurant/dance bar located in the terminal @ Boeing Field (KBFI) callled the Red Baron and all the seats @ all the tables were old ejection seats upholstered in woven brocade material.
I've wanted a DC-3/C-47 cockpit seat for years as a computer desk chair-

Now for the base with a swivel.
Next to add foot pads
Will bolt to the seat bottom.
Hopefully the new red leather seat cushion this week then ready for a test flight.

USAC midget. Grant King chassis with 300 hp Sesco Falconer engine. Ran outlaws, USAC, then moved to CRA sprint cars. Ascot Park, Chula Vista, Manzanita, Santa Rosa, el Cahon.

OK! That explains the rock crusher V-6. Ascot was too far away from Lancaster so we spent lots of Saturday nights @ Saugus Speedway.

Thanks Tom. It's not nearly as nice as Scott's A-4 seat but it gets the job done for me here at work!
