Slightly off topic. I have a Superior/Mattituck (Lycoming clone) IO-360B1A2 engine, Bendix fuel injection, Hartzell constant speed prop. Airplane runs great in flight but has bad manners on the ground that I would like to improve. I've exhausted the local A&P knowledge base in attempting various remedies.
Can anyone recommend a engine shop or mechanic in the Southeastern US that specializes in this type engine and fuel injection? I'm through with, "Did you try this?", I'd much rather go to someone who is a guru who has his/her hands on this every day.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
Sounds like a classic case of a bad fuel servo. The plane will do fine in the air and run to rich on the ground. All you can do is play with the idle mixture or fuel flow and that isn't working. Send out your fuel servo for overhaul and you will solve the problem. We see this all the time at the shop I work at.

Thanks Eric.
I was under the impression that the best way to do this would be to have the airplane at a shop for any adjustments to be "setup". What's the short version of sending the unit out? (ie. When it comes back, how much setup and adjustment is required?)

Ken,
The only adjustments you will need to do is idle and mixture. Thats the only adjustments you can do. Not to hard.
