T-6 Outer Wing Spar Needed

Fri Mar 11, 2011 2:42 am

Hi,

We're just thinking of turning our attention to our T-6 wings. Biggest items we need are a port outer main spar section, a rear spar (the spar that runs in front of the aileron), the 5 outer leading edge ribs and an un-drilled leading edge skin. Also stringer extrusion.

Anyone have any of these sitting on their shelf?

Many thanks,

G

Hi,

Have you contacted Lance Aircraft in Texas? They will have most of the parts that you are looking for. As far as leading edges, I know two companys that could roll you up a new one. You would have to send them a sample, I can send you there contact info, if you are interested.

Good luck with your project.

Bill

Leading edge skin from Lance is about $850 + shipping (as of about 3 years ago). I looked at getting one made but every place I checked was way more expensive than that.

vs. how many weird looking rain gutters can you make out of sheets of 2024 T4? I'd get the PMA approved part and skip the drama.

Not even PMA- Lance has original surplus North American Aviation repair parts.
