N3N altimeter and air speed instruments

We are in the final stages of a complete ground up restoration of an N3N and are looking for some help to verify the authenticity of the altimeter and air speed instruments. We would like origionals but do not know if what we have are instrumrnts from the origional plane. The information that we have for the altimeter is a number 842-3k but no manufacture indication. The informatoin for the air speed instrument is BuNo's Aero 7303. Any wisdom or help would be apprecciated. Thanks.

Why not post some pics of that N3N!!!!! But if its being built for who I think it is, its ok if you cant...........Ive been waiting to see the final result!!!!!!

N3N Jeff,
We will be happy to send some pictures of the instruments and sincerely appreciate the help. The Plane is not being restored for anyone other than my son and myself. We purchased it as a partially wrecked "restored" aircraft. The previous owner thought he had a restored plane and as he was flying it back to his hanger in Phoenix, he ground looped it. We purchased the plane and found that restoration meant a new paint job and a plane that had some damage but was in serious need of a complete restoration. WE decided to go for a 100% origional (with the exception of Red Lines) restoration and use it as a show plane. The plane is now in Paso Robles CA and we are working with Chuck Wentworth of Antique Aero to get it done. We have a second N3N-3 that we will put back together and use that as a recreational flyer.

This a airplane that had a Wright and I believe the lower right wing was badly damaged??? I remember the airplane when it came up for a insurance auction. send me a e-mail of both your bureau numbers, I have been working on a registry for N3N's for the last 3 yrs. Ours has been family owned since 1969.
Post some pics so we can make some stearman owners jealous:) Ive been tormenting stearman owners on WIX for the last 5 yrs!!

N3n Jeff,
You probably have the correct airplane in mind. The bureau # for the one we are finishing is 2677 and I'll get the other one for you. When the plane ground looped it struck the prop and went through a fence post. The result was that we had the Wright 760 engine completely rebuilt by the master rebuilder located in Quincy CA. Thank goodness we did. because the owner before the gentleman we bought it from attempted a rebuild using some very unique parts, such as half a crank from an N3N and the other half from a mystery engine. The rebuilder said it was a miracle that the engine even ran much less taking it into the air. The undercarriage was torn up by the fence post the and right wing tip and aileron was destroyed. Through a lot of hard work, searching for parts, luck and $$ it is all back together in origional condition. As an example, we found the origional fire supression system aluminum bottle and fire extinguisher on eBay.
