T-6 Wing Jig

Thu May 27, 2010 3:05 pm

Does anyone have, or know of, a jig for a T-6 left wing that we can borrow or rent? What about drawings so we can build one? With all the work happening on more "important" (more rare, like the P-63F) aircraft in the Cobra Den at San Marcos, Texas, the work on "Triple Nickle" has slowed, but is still moving forward. We are at the point of needing a jig for the left wing repair right now.

Can anyone help?

They are pretty simple to make. Here is one that a friend of mine made, but this is for the right wing. I'll check my photos to see if I got a better picture beside the one attached of me covering a PT-22 wing.

Thanks! Any help is welcome!!! What we need though it a jig that is made to specs. We can't build one around the wing as the wing is not true due to a landing incident. We would love to find an engineer's drawing with measurements and specs as we have a fantastic metal manufacturing shop that helps us out and could make one from blueprints. That way we can rebuild the wing with the right "wash".
