FWP-149D Flight Manual

Sun Sep 13, 2009 7:23 am

I'm looking for an original Luftwaffe [in English] Flight Manual for the FWP-149D. The one in my aircraft is a copy of a copy and I'd like to obtain a better copy or if possible an original one.

Any leads greatfully accepted.

Have you tried the FAA? Before any type is certified to be licensed in the U.S. all the manuals have to be approved (and/or translated into English which is what stalls a lot of projects, getting the manuals translated from Elbonian to English in an understandable form)). So I'm fairly certain that somewhere in the bowels of the Mike Baloney archives there has to be a 'file' copy of the manual and it should be available to you since you helped pay for its storage.

I don't think that they are type certificated in the USA.

There are several flying all over the country including one with the Cascade Warbirds here in Wash. in modern Luftwaffe markings. Basically looks like a Germanic Meyers 200/developed NAVION

They are experimental-exhibition category aircraft. Same as many warbirds currently flying now, the CAF Tora birds for example.

My aircraft came from USA to Australia. The issue is just trying to find an original or very clean copy. Mine's a little 'dog eared'...

Thanks.
