Removing Aeroquip flex hose end fittings

Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:46 pm

We have a pile of unused hydraulic lines of a length we can't use with Aeroquip fittings at each end. Is there any way of removing these fittings so they may be used again? Seems a shame to junk them.

Any words of advice?

Thanks

George

Do you have the mandrels of the correct size?

Just drop by the local hose shop & slip em a few $$ to take em apart :)

since you are not assembling hoses, you can try using a AN fitting in place of the mandrels.

Unscrew them, AEROQUIP is a pinched compression type of attachment. The fittings should be left hand thread and should screw right off the hose ends

The inner core sleeve is R/H thread and the larger outside piece is L/H thread.
