Hey everyone,

Does anyone know where I can find an old style "snoopy tool"? I have the Snap On Dzus tool but would like to find an old compact remover to carry around in my pocket.

Thanks, yeah I saw that one but I was trying to find the old military type.

But that is a nice piece, I might just get that one anyways.

That is the old military style, adopted in 1941. The new military style, issued today, has the same shape like that but uses vinyl heat shrink for the handle.

Dzus fasteners on aircraft in this case, usually hold on items such as access doors, cowlings, etc etc. things that need to be opened regularly.

I always found a modified screwdriver worked best. You're able to get better torque with the screwdriver.

Muddyboots....Dzus tool created by a famous author...a doctor or something...you use the dzus tool to lock up the container that secures your green eggs and ham....there is a shortage you know..lol

We call them Camlocks on Herc's (for the most part)...at least on the engine cowlings.
