Its obviously a wartime tool for eye protection (of others not the wearer).

Aas you can see she is demonstrating the new safety equipment next to a sign explaining 2226 people suffered eye injuries in that plant in that month alone.

This is to stop you having yours eyes poked out when you cop an eye full smiles.

In line with the lower sign, I would be happy to check regularly and assist in finding any defects in these new tools.
