I'm an avid researcher of WW2 military aviation unit emblems, I have seen a blurry black and white photo of the emblem and a blurry color photo of a leather patch of the same design , it is from the 74th Fighter Squadron , the design was on a round background, inside was a cartoon like goofy looking pilot wearing a leather flight helmet with goggles and he's holding a 50 caliber machine gun down along side his body with a short ammo belt trailing from it, and he's riding a goofy looking horse that is in full gallop .
I would greatly appreciate anyone who could help me find a good clear image of this design , they were with the 23rd Fighter Group , I will gladly make someone a "Free" leather patch of this emblem if they can score me a good image with colors , hope to hear form someone on this one, thank you and I await your reply !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
