I would say.... meh. Does it really matter? It's pretty neat.

VMAP has a bunch of real warbirds in their collection as well as a couple of members who flew my plane in combat in Thailand. Great group. And this addition is truly an interesting thing to behold.

No question that my interest meter was pegged over this aircraft! Too bad they never built a flying prototype. It would have been a sight to behold.

Isn't there an X-Wing fighter mock-up at some museum somewhere?

I think the A-12 mockup deserves to be saved representative of a transitional period in our nations military aviation history.

Wings Over The Rockies has the X-Wing Fighter. Great museum and a nice bunch of people there when I visited many years ago.
