First base selected for KC-46A's

The Air Force has selected McConnell AFB in beautiful downtown Witchita as the first base to receive the new KC-46A tankers. Washington's Fairchild as well as Minot N.D. and Offett in NE. were under consideration.
Around $192 Million will be spent to upgrade McConnell for the new aircraft.

The KC-46A just can't seem to get out of Wichita! Boeing is closing the Wichita site which housed the former KC-46A engineering staff.
