I hope it is not quite that bad in the military for those that are doing the real day to day work. I'm sure those on the inside will see some humor there. But these days, with all the violence in schools, or at work or most anywhere, any talk about "bringing a shotgun to work and making Columbine look small", is not a good thing. With the very real student killings at Columbine High School, just a few miles away from where I write this, as well as similar ones at the college in Virginia , the ones on the base at Ft. Hood, and the recent one in Tucson, including a 9 year old girl as a victim, gun violence is all too real. It's not a good subject for jokes. Have you noticed that when someone goes over the edge and does one of these mass shootings, that the victims are mostly the average and the innocent people . It's not often the worst of our society, who we might be better off without, who get killed. |

Scott, That is exactly what I hear at work every single day. The only real difference is that when we have a "morning meeting" you only hear the gibberish about metrics etc. with never a mention of the jet that is being maintained. Whoever made these films pegged the modern world of airplane maintenance perfectly. Scott |

MMM, All this sounds SO familiar! I remember in the 80's it wasn't as bad as today. All well, I am RETIRED out of that now! Scott |

Scott It's really taking a toe-hold in the civvy world now, Scott. Here's another appropriate scenario, though aimed at the "lower levels" of the MX/Flight relationship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=202MdFAq ... re=related |

I know, that's what worries me. Hell, I had problems active duty as I wouldn't "kiss butt", so I guess I'm screwed. Scott |
