my son is a helo mechanic on ch-53's at m.a.s. cherry point / havelock north carolina. he's w/ hmh 366 hammerheads. he was having lunch the other day & he was invited to dine with a major general along w/ 3 other buddies. he had a great time. i guess 1 of his buddies works or worked on prowlers & said they were crap, the general flew them for a period of time, & mentioned so. nothing happened, but it was a little dicey for a few minutes while my son's friend ate his foot for dessert!!

Your sons buddy should remember 'STFU' and just talk about weather and how he misses those cold snowy mornings back home this time of year (even if he grew up in Hawai`i ) or ask gently about the Generals best flying experiences and to always wear at least one chocolate shoe to kill the taste.

my kid dined with major general jon davis 2nd air division commanding general. quite a resume!! i wish he had gotten a picture!!
