read in the paper that an inert ww 2 practice torpedo was dug up at a construction site in phily. naturally nobody new if it was live or not so the bomb squad was called. upon their arrival they found 2 construction worker schmucks sitting on the thing drinking beer!! the site was a former naval depot or training facility. it was deemed inert, so i hope it gets cleaned up & sent to a museum.

The Torpedo was just a welding tank mocked up to look like one. Pretty funny story. When the police got there , a bum was sitting on it and claimimg it was his and he was going to salvage it for the scrap money, Trouble was he couldn't budge it! Cops were laughing their asses off over it.
