Was watching "The Great Escape" tonight and wondering if any of the guys who went out the tunnel and survived are still alive? Also, anybody know where the movie set POW camp was built? - |

No. Across the road from a movie studio in Munchen, Germany. There's a lot of stuff on youtube about the escape. I don't know. I need to do a little research on it. I'll just google the names and see what comes up. Bertram "Jimmy" James (he was in the NOVA special) died about a year ago and Sydney Dowse about two years ago. I believe they were the last. |
