A friend sent this link to me, it is a GREAT thing someone has done putting it all together. You click on the state, then look for the city, and it gives names and details on the men lost.

A question .... In my little town, there are 7 names listed. Details of casualty for most show KIA by " Small arms or gunfire ", " Artillery, Rocket, or Mortar ", etc .....
One has the following listed:
Casualty Type: Hostile, Died Outright
Casualty Reason: Ground Casualty
Casualty Detail: Misadventure

My question is ...... what is " Misadventure " ? Boobytrap ? I have no idea, and hope someone can shed some light.

Misadventure is the word the Department of Defense used during
the Vietnam War era to refer to what is commonly called "Friendly Fire."

Best wishes,
