being 80 to 100 feet long how did a u.s. navy pt boat make it to an overseas war zone with limited fuel capacity & alot of heavy seas & distance from the u.s.?? certainly the navy didn't escort them with slow vulnerable fuel tankers or oilers!! |

I've seen photos of the PT's on deck cradles on larger cargo ships. They were loaded transversly on the decks. |

i'd love to see the pics!! perhaps small utility vessels, landing craft were transported in the same manner. |
