Add USS Rabalo(SS-273) to the missing list. Last heard from 2 July 1944 after sighting a Japanese
battleship and 2 destroyer escorts east of Borneo. I ran across that while reading Flier's
War Patrol Reports and sinking on her second patrol as well as USS Redfin's(SS-272) report
on the rescue of Flier survivors. Interesting background on some coastwatchers and expats
willing to help in the Redfin report. Here...

Incidentally, the tug which towed the Flier back from Midway at the beginning of the report
is ASR-9 USS Florikan. That bucket was still in service at Ballast Point, San Diego in 1975
when I was stationed there. She was finally decomissioned in 1991..USN got their moniesworth
outta that one!
