| Post subject: | Pocket Battleship Graf Spee |
I was reading a few years ago that there is an effort to raise the German Pocket Battleship Graf Spee from the Rio de la Plata and return it to Germany. Apparently the top of the superstructure is about 20 feet below the surface and is sitting upright and of course is in fresh water. Can anyone shed any light on this effort or is it just a pipe dream? It seems to be doable...just need some Euros. |
