I certainly hope the pilot is alright. I have not heard of any previous F-22 accidents, is this the first one? The faster an airplane can go, the more potential there is for catastrophic disaster in the event of something going wrong. (Joke removed) I really hope the pilot's alright. -David M. |

I wonder what the cause could have been... UFO possibly? I really hope the pilot's alright. -David M. This is the third F-22 loss. The first one was a PIO during flight test. The second one was loss of flight controls on takeoff due to an improper maintenance procedure which removed power from the flight control computer for just long enough to scramble things. Let's hope the pilot of this one is as fortunate as the other two pilots - both survived. |

I just saw on ASB that the Air Force Times is reporting that the pilot was pronounced dead at a local hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of the pilot. |
