A bit of trivia for you guys

What was considered the longest battle of WW2? I didn't know this until tonight! Brought to my attention by a history teacher of all things!

there has been a long running debate about that. Many feel (I do) that it was series of sharp battles in a theater all its own. It should really be called the Atlantic Theater. When you consider the length of time, the space and places it was fought in, and the combatants, you can't really consider it one long battle--but rather a long series of engagements.
