What if America was never involved in WWII? Where would we be now?

Since WWII brought the US from a largely agrarian based society to where we are now (took farmboys and put them through college via the GI Bill) how technically advanced would we be now?

We would be where the French were,the Germans towel boys. and the French look down their long noses at us. they owe us big time

Actually, my question was in reference to django's post of Hitler never going after the rest of Europe.., just Russia.

Where would America be if we did not educate it's people due to the GI Bill?
