I came across these flickr pics. They are of what appears to be a collection of US made Armor conceivably left over from the 2nd world war. The pics were taken on July 25, 2010 at or around Blésignac, Aquitaine, FR. Looks to be several M4s, M3s and M10s. It amazes me that places like this still exist. I hope they all have futures in preservation.

Recovered range wrecks? Look like they have holes in them but probably weren't shot where they lie.

I see one of the shermans has "Samur' painted on the rear hull. There is a world famous Tank museum in France, perhaps its part of some off site storage yard

"Yes Sir,One of these days I'm gonna stick a 350 chevy in her, mount a 9" ford rear end and some flames" quoted in 1976,
written on his gravestone in 2011. One of these days gets beaten to the punch by the grim reaper.

The yard full of tanks in southern France can be seen in Google Earth at 44°45'52.25"N 0°15'24.43"W.
The museum at Samur is some 170 miles away to the north.
All the best,

I'm just worried about the "X"s painted on the sides- I wonder if they are planning to scrap them or something...
