Anyone have any status on the Luftwaffe F-4Fs that are in storage at AMARG? These are ex-Holloman AFB birds that were used for training.

1. Are they property of the German government?
2. How will they be disposed of when the F-4 is phased out of Luftwaffe service?

An addendum....If these do, in fact, belong to the German gov't, will they be sold "as is", or shredded IAW USAF policy? And, since they're already in this country, if they are sold, would an import license be needed? After all, a fellow in the UK bought an ex-Luftwaffe F-104G from a Polish scrap yard.
