Went for a 1500km roadtrip with my brother to get some car parts and hit up a few museums along the way. Here are the pictures I got at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. Anyone who wants to use these for their own archives or collections is free to do so! Due to the amount of pictures I got I am going to try and limit myself to just warbirds, but if anyone has a request for anything else I can see what I got. These are in the storage wing, they do two tours a day and it costs a little extra, well worth it though! Its a little frustrating trying to find good angles to get pictures or see certain airframes (The B-24 for instance) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The large transport behind the Firefly, is that a Yukon or a NorthStar? I can't tell very well. If you have any pics of them and the other transports, it'd be nice to see them too, they're Warbirds in their own right, and a lot of people don't know about the Canadair produced aircraft that may have looked or been named similar to other designs but were almost completely new aircraft when you looked closely. |

Yes, that's an Argus inside. I do hope they get her restored along with the Viscount as they are aircraft almost completely forgotten by most people to have existed in North America (and the world in the case of the Argus). You are correct the aircraft outside is a NorthStar/Argonaut. |

I know at the moment they have this going on http://www.projectnorthstar.ca/ No word on the Argus though Do you post over on the A2A simulation board as well? I lurk over there quite a bit |

TM - yes, I do post over there some. I've been a big fan of their work to expand FSX beyond its limits and hopefully some of their work will pay off with Flight as several of the A2A members have been tapped to help Microsoft (they won't confirm it, but they basically let it slip a few months ago that they were in on it), so hopefully we'll continue to see serious improvement in flight modelling on a reasonable PC platform and price so that it can continue to be an excellent tool for procedural training in a lot of the kinds of airplanes we love here, and that can only be a good thing for those guys to be able to have a way to get some level of proficiency without having to spend $1000/hr+ on some of these airframes to do the flying. |

Is it sacrilegious to say that Id like to see that B-24 go to the Yankee Air Museum in exchange for there rare Caribou? Something else would have to be established for the trade Im sure but man, wouldn't that be cool to see another Liberator in the air?!?! |

I think its a shame to have that B-24 basically hidden in there, I didnt see it until the end of the tour because of the air frames packed so closely around it! Surely someone could display it properly ![]() |

Hi Thomas, Thank you very much for sharing those pictures! I placed another post for my search for pictures of the Canadian Museum's (is this the same Museum?) De Havilland DH60X Moth G-CAUA (colour yellow wings, yellow and red fuse, dark blue gear and struts). I would need those for super scale modelling purposes. Did you by the way take any pictures of this particular aeroplane? Your help would most be appreciated! Kind regards Hans, Switzerland |

Hi Hans, I did a scan of all my pictures and unfortunately do not have any pictures of that particular airframe http://www.aviation.technomuses.ca/coll ... DH60XMoth/ |
