These sketchy images come from an old 1942 Japanese Asahigraph magazine. They depict a USAAF P-40E Warhawk that was captured by the Japanese Army in the Philippines. The shark nose was applied by Allied crews before capture (as an homage to the Flying Tigers of China), but retained by the Japanese while the latter over-painted the US insignia.
