Having most of the Fighter Collection's warbird fleet grounded pending resolution of outstanding paperwork issues ( all the way back to WW2 )
would mean for most people cancelling the show.
Stephen Grey and the TFC just worked harder than ever to provide another stunning warbrid show to entertain us .....
Let's start with The Horsemen !
Curtiss P-40N ~ 42-105915 is owned by Christian Amara and based in France
Frederic Akary brought his Hawker Fury 37514 over from France .....
And I was very happy to see the Pink Lady make the journey across the Channel too
Spitfire PR XIX has undergone a transformation ~ losing the contra rotating prop and PR blue paint scheme for this new look for 2009
And lets not forget the Hawker Hurricane ~ this one belongs to the RAF Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight
Where else in the world could you hope to see three more Hurricanes flying together
Or how about THREE B-25's
The Flug Werk Fw.190 was a great bonus to the weekend
And Finally ....... the Hawker Sea Fury T.20's from the USA was put through its paces by Steve Hinton and Stephen Grey
We owe a huge debt to the owners, pilots, ground crew and planners who efforts made the weekend a wonderful show case for the warbird industry in Europe
