If dad was still among us he would be smiling when he saw those Sherman photos! I don't know if he had to deal with many of the late-model HVSS chassis in the MTO where he was worked on them, but it's still a Sherman.

Only a few from day two.

First, one of the great vets that is still active in the CAF, "Blackie" Blackburn, WWII & Korea B-29 pilot with many combat missions -

"Blackie" and me

Alan Brooks and "Blackie"

"Blackie" and fellow B-29 pilot Jack Bradshaw -

Gary giving his "sermon" on maintenance (which was well received I might add)-

On a side note, I presented on behalf of Jack, the CAF WIX members, and myself a 16x20 inch framed poster of the "motivational poster" that he indicated he liked which Jack had posted some weeks ago. I forgot to have someone take a picture of the presentation with my camera, however the HQ staff got a picture and I intend to get a copy of it and post it when I can. Hopefully another WIXer will have a picture. In the meantime, here a digital version of the poster presented -

Here are a few pics from Friday evening at the Cavanaugh Air Museum. Thanks to Mr. C and Doug Jeanes for making it happen. The museum hosted our CAF dinner that evening as part of CAF Summer Conference. Thanks to Doug, Mr C, Julian, and the rest of the Cavanaugh Staff! I'll try not to duplicate too many of the pics from Chris Trott (CAPflyer). Enjoy the pics..... Oh, BTW, this was the first time with my new camera (from Christmas!)... Fuji S8000FD..... Alan

Sorry for the late reply here, but thanks Jack and Chris for getting me that picture at Summer Staff. I'm about to hang it up in my office as we speak. :-)

While I think of it, Doug Jeanes mentioned to me at OSH that he's having technical difficulty with WIX (can't log in? can't post responses? something like that). He was hoping Scott could look into it.
