P-47D of the 358th FG after a emergency landing by it's wounded pilot. Wish I knew who he was. He's unconscious and being removed from the a/c
which was badly hit by flak. June 16, 1944. That takes guts!!

What is under the wing? Are those bombs still hanging there? Also this photo almost looks like Jack's photo just a few minutes later possibly falling back and catching fire.
