Post World War II Nose Art

I think Nose art is an interesting though controversial subject. the majority of nose art that I have seen has been from WWII and I figured it might be interesting to see nose art from post WWII to present.

I'll start...

This ain't too flashy... matter of fact it's kinda boring. But here's a look at the Buffalo Sabres' old 'Angry Goat' on the nose of a Herk from the 914th AW, based at Niagara Falls, NY.

As a Crew Chief on A-10s, nose art was not allowed, except for the shiney Tigers Teeth we had for the history of the 23rd. But Nose Ladder Door Art was a whole different story. The art work on the inside of the ladder doors is great, and with the war, much was brought back. Some of the A-10 web sites have good collections of them. I will look for a link and try to post it.

A-10s may not look pretty, but the sure work pretty, unless your at the receiving end.....
