Here are some shots I took while we were painting the nose art on my favorite B-24. 8)

Up first is my Dad, Gary Hill. He is the whole reason I am into cars and airplanes in the first place. I've never known him to have artistic abilities (got those from my Mom), but he did a great job. And I was thrilled to share the experience with him.

Image

One of my best friend's and fellow artist, Sean Cowger. The first person I called after my Dad.

Image

Sean and another great friend Mike Hede. Another non-artist, but he also did a great job.

Image

"Supervision" I thought this was a great shot. The nose gear door on FiFi with Ol' 927 in the background.

I love that last shot Chad! What do I need to do to get you to send me a copy of that one? :-)

Just a bump as I check back in. Just got back from a great trip to Boston.

Keep 'em coming! FYI, I'm taking my CFI checkride at the end of the month, so the judging process may take a week or two to finish.

Bump!!! Just a few days left on this contest guys! I'll not be checking in much at all next week, as I have a CFI checkride scheduled for Monday, the 27th of July. Then, if I pass, we'll get right on the judging at the end of the month.

I almost forgot to post my last two entries before the deadline. Here they are:

"Into The Belly (or wing) Of The Beast:"

Texas Raiders, spring 2008.

"Warbird Therapy Session"

Me "unwinding" from my regular job by rigging the rudder and elevator controls on Chuckie. And, yes, it was around 100 degrees when Ellen shot this photo.

No Ober. This is a Maintenance Photo Contest. And that is certainly something that Bellanca in Boerne hasn't seen in a long time, and sadly probably never will.
